EWC Privacy & ePrivacy Statement

This Privacy & ePrivacy statement (‘Statement’) is an integral part of the website and its content if and to the extent provided or otherwise made available in any way and from time to time by Project EWC, an Innovation Action via a consortium funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe (DIGITAL-2022-DEPLOY-02) innovation program under grant agreement No. 101102744 (‘EWC‘) to the visitor and/or user of the website (‘User’). This Statement governs the privacy and related matters when using the website and its content of EWC and how a User can exercise its rights regarding its Personal Data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR‘) and otherwise related laws and regulations.

The EWC’s website, its pilots, questionnaires and other content made available from time to time on https://ewcpilot.eu/ are hereinafter collectively referred to as: ‘Website’.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Website (which includes without limitation any services, whether from EWC or third parties) User acknowledges that User have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Statement and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If User does not agree to this Statement or the compliance obligations, please do not use EWC’s Website.

For purposes concerning this Statement, the Website is owned and operated by EWC and to the extent applicable also for the benefit of EWC and the mission of the project. The content on this Website is provided only for general information purposes and as-is, which may not be accurate, correct and/or complete and does not constitute strategic or any other professional advice.

When visiting this Website, whether or not as a User of one or more pilots initiated and deployed from time to time by EWC, EWC may register Personal Data. All Personal Data collected on this Website shall remain within the European Union. Any connection with the server of this Website is encrypted. EWC will only use Personal Data for the purposes as described in this Statement and will protect any Personal Data collected in accordance with the applicable laws.

When visiting the Website, EWC does not collect and process any Personal Data of Users. EWC solely collects and processes Personal Data of Users (A) when registering to be able to join and contribute to an EWC pilot, (B) when a User provides answers to pilot questionnaires or other feedback regarding a pilot, (C) when a User contacts EWC in order to inform User about and to make available certain content, information, and related matters for the benefit of the normal pilot and related project operations of EWC, to develop, modify, reproduce, distribute and make the Website and/or its pilots and related activities available, and (D) when a User wishes to use it data subject rights as per the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When a User completes a registration or support contact forms on this Website, EWC may retain those communications in order to process the queries, respond to requests, improve this Website or to give Users assistance regarding the EWC’s pilot activities. In such cases EWC may need to collect the following personal information: your name, organisation, and email address.

Information that Users provide will only be used to contact Users, for example, for information, updates or other content in connection with an EWC pilot, unless User informs EWC through our Website or via email as set forth above that User does not wish to receive any communication from EWC. EWC will not use this Website to collect special category personal data such as information regarding political views, race, religious beliefs, health, criminal-law, financial data, or other matters.

You are strongly encouraged not to include your own personal details in your answers or other feedback, and to limit sharing your personal details when contacting and otherwise engaging with EWC.

When visiting this Website, EWC sets only essential/required Cookies (such as: language settings, login details, device information and IP-address) so that we can remember User’s choices in order to optimise your user experience and to recognise the device of browser for the next time when a User visit the Website from the same device or browser.

If you visit the login page, the Website will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

From time to time, EWC will revise this Statement, EWC recommend that User regularly check whether it has been revised. However, EWC will notify User via prominent notification on the Website about any major changes that would negatively impact User’s interests, although we are not envisioning any such changes in the near future.

This Statement is exclusively governed by the laws of Belgium. Any and all disputes that may arise with respect to this Statement will be referred exclusively to the competent court in Brussels, Belgium.
