Biometric traveller enrolment

In this scenario, you will be given the opportunity to enrol your biometric portrait in a self-service check-flow, for a smooth and efficient airport experience based on facial recognition.

You will test how the EU Digital Identity Wallet can be used to simplify this process on a fictional airline called “Amadeus Six”.

Instead of queuing in the line at airport, your journey will speed up thanks to contactless experience, because your face will act as your pass at the bag drop, at security and at boarding.

We are still using the fictional details of Hanna Matkalainen. When filling in the booking details, use the information below:

Numeric booking reference 1234

You should now be able to review your fictional flight details. Click “Start check-in” and follow the process as if you were doing a normal check-in.
As part of the process, you will be prompted to “Use a contactless experience”.
Select the option to “retrieve from your wallet”.
Choose your EU Digital Identity Wallet and scan the displayed QR code to securely share your passport details.
