Book Fast Ferries Ticket

In this scenario, you will be buying a domestic ferry ticket in Greece. As a student, you will be eligible for a discount (student concession).

Your EU Digital Identity Wallet will be used to prove you are eligible for this concession. There are two stages to this scenario which guides you through the process of purchasing a discounted ferry ticket and issuing your boarding pass.

You will find some necessary instructions below, so please keep this page open. If you are ready to begin the scenario, click on the link below (it will open a new web browser tab).

You will be using the credentials you have already downloaded for the Benidorm experience.

First, book your tickets

Let’s book the ferry and make sure you have your ticket successfully stored in your wallet so that you’re ready to board:

Click on this link to go to the Fast Ferries website.

Select any ferry trip using the “from” and “to” drop downs
Input any dates for your trip and click “search”
It’s likely that you will see the message:
There are no itineraries. Next date with available itinerary is…
If so, click the button showing the next available date. Once your ferries are selected click “continue”.
Fill in the requested booking details (e.g. sex, passenger type and seat type) for both ferries and click “calculate price”.
To supply your details, click the blue “e-wallet” button. It will open a new tab.
Scan the QR code with your wallet app and confirm sharing details.
You will see a simple page with text “Η σύνδεση ήταν επιτυχής!” ie. “Login was successful!” Now close this tab to return to the Fast Ferries booking page, where your alias details should be filled in.
Once you reach the point where you can buy the ticket, you can close the tab and return to this page. (You cannot go any further on the development environment at this point).

Then, issue your boarding pass

To retrieve your booking, click on the button below which will take you to the ticket retrieval portal.

Click on ‘Issue’ and scan the QR code using your Digital Wallet to receive your boarding pass.
Click on ‘Give feedback to EWC Pilot’ to be directed straight to the survey, or click ‘Back’ for the option to issue a verifiable receipt to your Digital Wallet containing the details of your purchase.
