Our test is to try out your new Digital Wallet, whilst also complying with Spain’s new tourist regulations:
On December 2, 2024, Spain’s Royal Decree 933/2021 went into effect, requiring hotels and other accommodations to collect more personal data from tourists.
Currently, the standard process requires manually inputting and submitting forms with 17 pieces of information for each traveller.
For this test, we want you to imagine that you’re travelling to a hotel in Benidorm, and that you now have the option to use a new Digital Wallet to prove who you are.
Your new Digital Wallet aims to streamline this process, significantly reducing the effort and time involved in providing these details, and doing this all securely, within EU regulations.
Note: We have entered the Booking Reference for you, so you can just press “Continue” when prompted. And then when prompted you can scan the QR code, and share the data from the wallet with the hotel.
