You need to load your new Digital Wallet with your – Hanna’s – details, such as her:

  1. PID (short for: Personal Identification Data)
    This provides basic digital identity data, it’s issued by the government and includes details like full name and date of birth.
  2. PhotoID
    Contains all Passport attributes including ID picture.
  3. Personal Contact Details
    Covers contact details like address, phone number and email.
  4. Student ID
    Information about the attended college or university for example and the person’s Student ID.

These types of details are what companies are referring to when mentioning “credentials”.

In time, these will be made available by local government or similar agencies, so that you can store and share these through your new Digital Wallet. 

 

How to set it up:

  1. Create New Wallet, and accept the terms and conditions.
  2. Create a pin, activate or decide later on using biometrics.
  3. Next step is to add credentials to the Data Wallet. Tap the Scan button in the bottom right of the app.
  4. Click on the button below (Get credentials here) which will issue fictional credentials for Hanna. You will have 4 QR codes to scan. 
  1. Each time you scan you can input the 1234 code into the App.
  2. You should be redirected to Benidorm to test the wallet out
Note: Post-launch, citizens will obtain their credentials over a period of time rather than downloading them all at once as is the case in this test. The real convenience will come through frequent use of pre-obtained credentials in situations like the Benidorm experience you are about to complete.
