There are currently many different ways to authenticate payments (i.e. when purchasing a product, proving that it is you that has made the transaction). For example, these include: through your bank app, one-time passcodes, and answering security questions.

Why?

In the future this wallet will be issued by the Romanian government in collaboration with the European Union. And most of the online websites in Europe will have to accept it for login.
