A PhotoID credential is a secure, digital version of your official identification document, such as your passport or national ID. It is issued by a trusted government authority and contains all the key information typically found in your physical document—including your full name, date of birth, nationality, document number, and your official ID photo.
A Self-Attested Credential is a digital record of personal information that you, as the holder, provide and manage yourself. Unlike government-issued credentials, this type of credential is created by you and securely stored in your EU Digital Identity Wallet.
Because it’s self-issued, you retain full control over the content and can choose what to share, with whom, and when—ensuring a balance between convenience and privacy.

This is what you are going to be asked at the hotel during the checkin.
This step is optional but we recommend it so during the checkin at the hotel desk.
